And it will come about in that day, that every place where there used to be a thousand vines, valued at a thousand shekels of silver, will become briars and thorns. People will come there with bows and arrows because all the land will be briars and thorns. As for all the hills which used to be cultivated with the hoe, you will not go there for fear of briars and thorns; but they will become a place for pasturing oxen and for sheep to trample. Genesis 1:26-27 “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Bible Verse Wall Art
Then the Holy Spirit told me that I first had to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Then God would impart to me the grace that would enable me to love my wife in this manner. The Holy Spirit went on to teach me whenever I would see something that would cause me to find fault in my wife, I should first pray for Him to help me get the logs out of my eyes, so I could see clearly, through God’s eyes of loving kindness, tender mercies, and forgiveness. Only through this would I be able to see clearly to remove specks, if any from my wife’s eyes. He taught me to pray for God to set a guard over my mouth, and keep watch over the door of my lips (Psalm 141:3). He showed me that this would keep me from saying anything that hurt my wife and her walk with God. Then I was able to always speak words of encouragement to my wife even when I had to correct her about something to let her know that God was greater than anything she did wrong and could help her with any problems in her life as a Christian. This has been a beautiful experience for me as a Christian man.
Many feel that since they have suffered the adulterous acts of their spouse that they have to divorce or they ‘can’ divorce . That permissive course of action is indeed seen in scripture but if we really love the Lord and want to demonstrate faith do we ‘cut to the chase’ as it were and divorce? Some say so citing the way we are to separate ourselves from unbelievers and unrepentant …all the while forgiving and leaving the door open for repentance. Biblical Verses Image
From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all.
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.
A talent is something that you are instinctually born with that gives you unique skills and abilities. Talent is set apart from knowledge in that it is not a learned behavior, although it can be strengthened and practiced. The Bible tells us that we are all born with distinct talents and gifts that set us apart from each other. When you discover the talents that God has given you and you use them to glorify Him, you will experience a full life! Our loving Lord wants us to feel whole and complete, and it is through talents that we can find our unique calling in life! Use these Bible verses about talents to encourage yourself and others who are seeking God's plan for their life. Bible Verse Wall Art
"Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed. "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.
Thank you for your question my friend. Something just doesn’t sound right. This laying hands on your forehead and then speaking to you in tongues doesn’t sound biblical. Is it the Holy Spirit? I do not think it is because the Holy Spirit always points to glorify Jesus Christ and focus exclusively on Him and never man or his gifts. You are not questioning the Holy Spirit, so you are fine…what you are doing is seeking to find the truth and it obviously doesn’t feel right and I don’t think it is. I would talk to a pastor of another denomination. If you speak to the pastor of this church you had this experience in, then he will likely support this. Biblical Verses Image
NO one is saying the gifts are not here anymore, but you but the Greek word for tongues does not refer to an unknown language (the word “unknown” is not in the original manuscripts) but we can agree to disagree. Paul said not all spoke in tongues and in the Book of Acts, we see this disappearing, although God is God and does whatsoever He pleases. I never wrote “you can’t have them today” so you are totally wrong about that, but we are still brothers or sisters, regardless, but sadly, I think it’s easy to put more emphasis on the gifts than it is the Gift Giver. For example, two churches I visited, believe that unless you speak in tongues, you are not filled with the Spirit. Some even go so far as to say, you are not saved if you’ve never spoken in the tongues. Then there are miracle healers who are quite different from Jesus. Jesus would tell the person who was healed to tell no one about it, but today “miracle healings “ are on TV, posted on You Tube, and flaunted by some ministries, but most say nothing about the gospel of the kingdom of God, which Jesus said includes repentance and faith (Mark 1:14-15), or about the fruits of the Spirit. Jesus said there are at least two ways we can know who is and who isn’t His disciple; by their love for one another (John 13:34-35) and by their fruits (Matt 7:15-20). James said that a faith with no works is a dead faith, or not genuine saving faith at all (James 2:14-16). Even though we’re not saved by works (Eph 2:8-9), we are saved to do works (Eph2:10), but even these works are from God and to His glory, so why would we ever put more emphasis on the gifts of the Spirit than the fruits of the Spirit? Why are gifts of the Spirit often elevated over the fruits of the Spirit? In a few cases, they overshadow the giver of those gifts, and that is God Himself, from which all good things come (Psalm 107:9). Scripture Images
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Also, I believe that if you feel called into something, like for example visitation (which is part of mercy) by visiting hospitals and nursing homes, you will find whether you really feel passionate about it or not by just diving into it. Many times people discover, no, this is not for me but that’s fine. No harm. If you feel passionate about something, that is almost always an indication that you are called to that for God gives us a passion for something we are likely gifted in. I regularly visit our local nursing home and these residents are so lonely. 70% (7 in 10) never have any visitors and that is a gift of mercy. Same for hospital. Biblical Verses Image

Modern Rock closely resembles Christian Rock. You'll notice that with some of the bands that perform this type of music, the lyrics may not speak directly about God or even Biblical ideas at all. Instead, the lyrics may contain implicit Biblical messages or may imply broader Christian teachings to other subjects. This makes Modern Rock music very popular with Christians and non-Christians alike. The songs can be heard widely on non-Christian radio stations across the country.

Greetings Cynthia thank you for your reply let me start by saying tho I do speak in tongues some times it is not a massage with interpatation I find that when I am prazeing god or praying some times the holy spirit moves on me and I may utter words not in English but they allways help me to give god the glory and then I will keep prazeing and praying in English yes if we pray in tongues or English or any learned language god hears his children because he hears our heart you do not have to speak in tongues to be saved and go to heaven I find that they do edify me as I feel gods spirit moving in me and upon me reasureing me . I will pray in the spirit ( tongues ) and I will pray with my understanding ( English ) I have never tried to fake tongues in any way . when I was kneeling in a alter praying one night never had spoke in tongues before the Holy spirit moved upon me and I started speaking in tongues . I don,t speak in tongues all the time I pray in English most of the time . The Holy spirit is a gift from the father and Jesus to every born again child of god . The gifts of the spirit are gifts from him to the church . Peter said you shall receive the gift of the Holy spirit if you repent and are babtized . the spirit gives the gifts to each person as he wills .but sometimes I don,t understand why people beleave that the Holy Spirit still gives the other gifts to people but they have a hard time beleaving that he give tongues to people today . lets keep preaching Jesus and him crusafied and try to get all the lost souls into the fold we can time is running out . I was not even aware that there was a NAME for this kind of thing until more recent years …it was “Higher Criticism’ that was one of the key elements along with many other ‘isms’ added to the faith …going back to the most basic way that the Serpent used and still finds most effective to deconstruct people’s hope in learning truth from the Bible , the scriptures that are GOD breathed and trustworthy are being ripped apart by anti christian ‘scholars’ who are nothing more than skeptics and workers of evil intent upon destroying the faith of those who are unstable and unlearned at the earliest age possible.
