So I see that many entering into trusting Jesus have no idea that some teachings and teachers are not trustworthy but are wolves and this has been the case now for most of our society for over 100 years …of course it has gone all the way back to Eden , but more recently there was a movement to assault the church more by design of the enemy of GOD and of those who God loves. The older I get the less I care about what others think about me and about what I look like.  We are all made in the image of God.  Not that we have a body like God because God is Spirit but we have certain attributes of God and they are not about what we look like but about what we think about.  God has declared that He made us most wonderfully (Psalm 139:14) and besides, “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” (Prov 31:30).  It is true that “bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come” (1 Tim 4:8). Anthony…my friend, you are giving me more credit than I deserve. Yes, it would be like you being there with us in church. I like that thought. I record almost every Sunday when our tech guy is there anyway and he and his wife are only there about 2 out of every 4 to 5 Sundays about which I am concerned for their trying to follow Christ seriously and taking Matt 6:33 as face value as Jesus said. By the way, the enemy loves our terror but God is the God of all comfort but even longtime Christians battle this fear and doubt and times of lack of faith so you are not alone my brother. Why I pop into your head…that’s a scary thought…I will pray that doesn’t happen too often. Just kidding…don’t know why it happens. The Holy Spirit maybe? Not sure. Take care Anthony my friend. Thank you my friend. this is not normal and you won’t find such a thing in the Bible and there is no gift of what your friend describes. Let me ask, has your friend ever repented and trusted in Christ? Are they in a Bible-believing church? Have they talked with their pastor, or do they even have one? What is their prayer life like? Does your friend spend much time in the Bible? If they are not saved, they may be under demonic influence. There is no gift like what you mentioned anywhere in the Bible, so I fear it could be an evil spirit inhabiting her. Biblical Verses Image

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. ... "If you happen to come upon a bird's nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young; you shall certainly let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, in order that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.
3. I believe, as I am sure you do, that Scripture teaches us about the “now” and the “not yet” of the Kingdom of God, as our Jewish counterparts were taught, and therefore until Jesus returns, as you know, not everyone we pray for to be healed is healed IN OUR TIMELINE of experience. Does this mean we should not ask? Does this not mean that we are not to be expectant, obedient? Does this not mean we should start with the small (headaches, aches) and build into our lives an expectation that he is interested in our illnesses before we visit drugstores or look in our well-stocked medicine cabinets rather than knocking hard on his door when serious illnesses draw near?
I tell my Brothers and Sisters for God to give them the ears to hear what, if anything, the Spirit of God is speaking through me or any other preacher/teacher. I tell them that the Spirit may speak to them through the whole message I have to share, by one paragraph, by one sentence, or by one word. The words we receive by the Spirit will be life changing. The Spirit has shown me that a word received from Him will produce more love for God, more love for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ, and more love for our neighbors as we love ourselves, where we fulfill all the law of God (Mt 22:37-40). All Christians will stumble and fall in their walk with God. No one of us is perfect. Fortunately, by God’s grace and love for us, we can receive the grace to repent and confess our sins, then be forgiven, cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Where God enables us to get up after we fall and get back on the path with Him. Scripture Images
While many white musicians gravitated toward country, folk, and old-timey music to express their spirituality outside of traditional Christian hymns, Black Gospel music drew heavily upon the traditional spirituals that had been passed down from the days of slavery, picking up its more driving rhythmic emphasis from blues and early jazz. Composer and singer Thomas A. Dorsey crystallized the style in 1932 with his epochal "Take My Hand, Precious Lord," and went on to compose a great many songs that later became standards. When performed in the churches, the music was traditionally sung by a choir, with individual soloists sometimes taking the spotlight; this often happened in a form known as "call and response," in which either the choir or the soloist would repeat and/or answer the lyric which had just been sung by the other, with the soloist improvising embellishments of the melody for greater emphasis. As the music developed, these soloists became more and more virtuosic, performing with wild emotion (and, in the South, physicality) in order to properly express the spiritual ecstasy the music was meant to evoke. The music was quite egalitarian in terms of gender, as both male and female performers -- Brother Joe May, Rev. James Cleveland, Mahalia Jackson, the Clara Ward Singers, etc. -- gained wide renown among both black and white audiences. The small-group format was also prevalent, with major figures including the Five Blind Boys of Mississippi, the Soul Stirrers, the Swan Silvertones, and the Dixie Hummingbirds; in general, these groups placed a greater premium on smooth vocal harmonies, although some performances could approach the raucous energy (if not quite the huge sound) of a choir-with-soloist group. As the years progressed, black gospel and black popular music influenced and borrowed from one another, reflecting the gradual change of emphasis toward R&B; black gospel also had an enormous impact on the development of soul music, which directed gospel's spiritual intensity into more secular concerns, and included a great many performers whose musical skills were developed in the church. As a recognizable style unto itself, black gospel music largely ceased to develop around the 1970s; progressing racial attitudes had helped black popular music reach wider audiences (and become more lucrative) than ever before, and tastes had turned towards the earthy hedonism of funk and the highly arranged, sophisticated Philly soul sound. The former wasn't quite appropriate for worship, and it wasn't all that practical to duplicate the latter in church services. However, the traditional black gospel sound survived intact and was eventually augmented by contemporary gospel (an '80s/'90s variation strongly influenced by latter-day urban R&B); plus, singers like Whitney Houston continued to develop within its ranks. During this time I began to realize when I was becoming under attack from the enemy by the feel of things (not just my own feelings, I could have a great day and suddenly be overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or angry/irritable for no real reason), sometimes by not only what I have seen but also perceived in my mind (by what I believe God has made me aware of around us in the spiritual realm), and even once what I smelled.

Many feel that since they have suffered the adulterous acts of their spouse that they have to divorce or they ‘can’ divorce . That permissive course of action is indeed seen in scripture but if we really love the Lord and want to demonstrate faith do we ‘cut to the chase’ as it were and divorce? Some say so citing the way we are to separate ourselves from unbelievers and unrepentant …all the while forgiving and leaving the door open for repentance. Biblical Verses Image
Genesis 1:26-27 “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
What source did you find to say that these men talked about tongues as necessary? I have never found these sources. You said that they called down the Holy Spirit on them…and it is EXPECTED that the converts should speak in new tongues but the word tongues in the New Testament is Greek for “languages.” Even so, I emphasize the fruits of the Spirit as evidence, as Jesus said you will know them by their love and by their fruits (John 15) and not by their gifts. That is the real evidence of conversion, right? We can therefore move on to something else my friend.
Thanks Jerry. I love the grace and humility you have my friend. You wanting to share the gospel is wonderful because only 1 in 20 believers have ever led more than one person to faith in Christ. That is not good but I see you have a passion for the Great Commission. Your own personal testimony is a great way to do so. No one, as you say, can dispute this because it is objective testimony to the work of God in your life. Biblical Verses Image
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. Bible Scripture Images
The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. But this I say by way of concession, not of command. Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that.
