When we all stand before God on that day we will have nothing to boast of but His grace. I am not trying to prove that I have a great knowledge of the Bible better than you do. Although I may not agree with everything you may teach, you are my Brother in Christ and I love you. That is the most important thing to me. That is what we will be judged for on that great day, if we loved God with all that is within us, and did we love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God. ... Bible Verse Wall Art
"Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed. "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.

A talent is something that you are instinctually born with that gives you unique skills and abilities. Talent is set apart from knowledge in that it is not a learned behavior, although it can be strengthened and practiced. The Bible tells us that we are all born with distinct talents and gifts that set us apart from each other. When you discover the talents that God has given you and you use them to glorify Him, you will experience a full life! Our loving Lord wants us to feel whole and complete, and it is through talents that we can find our unique calling in life! Use these Bible verses about talents to encourage yourself and others who are seeking God's plan for their life.

Amen Roger. This is clear to me my friend. I believe that sometimes…perhaps many times…the education of seminary and the effect that this has on men creates a vanity or pride and Paul was so right when he said that knowledge puffs up. That is a brilliant, Holy Spirit-inspired comment when you said that God’s love is a love from God and a love for God for we couldn’t love Him unless He first loved us. Great point and you said it well…perhaps better than I have ever heard. It is obvious to me, even in your first 2 comments and not knowing you well at all (yet!) that you indeed do have a gift for teaching. I can sense that. Something you said in your first comment was so good too…the more that I know God and the Word of God the more I see just how little I know God and the Word of God. I am so embracing that. Me too! In fact, the more I see God and His perfect holiness, the more I see my awful sinfulness. As He is clearly seen more and more holy from the study of His Word, the more and more I see just how much of a wretch I am and like Isaiah, before services, I need that “coal” touching my lips, being unclean, and to speak only what the Holy Spirit would have me speak. Thank you Roger. Your humility is going to make you an even better teacher. May I remain as humble because God is opposed (literal translation “at war with”) to the proud but gives grace only to the humble…like you sir. I thank God for you.

Another example one time last month I was reading Hebrews chapter 10. In verse 10 it tells us that we have been sacntified once and for all by the offering up of the body of Jesus. This sounds wonderful But verse 14 says that we have been perfected forever. I started to question that because I can see so many imperfections in my life. Then the Holy Spirit told me that my sanctification has perfected me and everything in my life for God ‘s calling upon my life. Scripture Images
The next gift is the ability to speak in different tongues (v 10). This has been one of the most controversial and most misunderstood gifts of all. When the original outpouring of the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost, there were many speaking in tongues. Paul wrote about tongues extensively in 1 Corinthians, chapters twelve through fourteen, but he was reproving the Corinthians for misusing the gift. It’s very difficult out of this passage to get any kind of mandate to speak in tongues, to get any kind of affirmation that this is something to be sought, because what you have here are primarily corrective orders given to the Corinthians. They had actually prostituted the gift of tongues into something pagan that wasn’t even representative of the work of the Spirit. All you need to do is to go back to Acts 2 and read verse 4, “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other languages”. The literal translation in Greek is “glossa” and means tongues. This same word “glossa” (language) is used again in Acts 2:11. This means it is a known language not some unknown tongue. Then it says (in Acts 2:5-11) that there were unbelievers present at Pentecost and were hearing God’s message in their own “dialektos” dialects or language: “Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues” (dialektos or dialects)! So there were unbelievers present at Pentecost hearing God’s message in their own languages and their own local dialects, not ecstatic gibberish. Bible Scripture Images
Hello i’m new to these pages of faith, and i did not look at any of the comments that anyone made, just because i didn’t want it to influence what i was about to say.I was reading what was said about healing and the ability of healing. It is very real and something i have experienced first hand. When i was around the age of 13 i was struck by a car,i was under the car and i was covered in white snow( which contributed to me being here today speaking of this) well i was pulled out by my brother and i stood up from the fright shook myself off as if nothing ever happened. The person that hit me was so scared and looked as if he was about to have a coronary of his own, i assured him that i was fine and not to worry, that he could go home. Well the next day i go to get up from bed and i feel an immense pain in my hip when i went to move my legs.I yelled for my parents and let them know that i could not walk. They got me dressed(with allot of pain and yelling from me) and took me to the doctor. The doctor exams me, sends me for x-rays(more movement, more yelling from me),the results show that a bone in my hip had been dislocated, and that it was where all my pain was coming. My parents where informed by the doctor that it could go back into place by itself in a couple of days, or that i would have to be operated on,and correct the problem,at the tune of about 6500.my parents didn’t have, or could come up with. I was taken home and we hoped and prayed for a miracle. Well at around this time i had a friend named Richie,he lived across the street from me and he had heard what had happened. It was day two and the pain had not gotten any better, everything i did was extremely unpleasant. My friend Richie was over and he saw what i was going through and suggested i go to his church and have the congregation pray over me. At the time i thought this was a little crazy, but i was also curious because my friend had mentioned this to me and i found it odd that he believed this could help. I waited two more days, decided i would take him upon his offer and go to his church, i was carried into his car driven to the church, and carried to the front of the pues by the pulpit. I was introduced to the pastor, they asked him if he could have the congregation pray over me,he agreed. When the service was about to begin the pastor introduced me to everyone, and let’s them know that i was a visitor from another church and to welcome me. We had the service and before it was over we get to the point where we pray for the sick.Well when they get to me the pastor tells everyone if they would kneel, and direct all their prayers to the Lord for me,(i have always been christian, and a believer, but have never witnessed anything like this before)the pastor lays his hand on my head ,and my hip and they pray. The truth of this story is that i felt an energy of happiness, and a tingling sensation in my affected area,my whole body felt this incredible feeling. I was then told to stand up and walk, but in my heart it was not the pastors voice that was telling me but the voice of my lord.Tears of joy from me ,and praises to Jesus from everyone,i was walking with no hint of pain or discomfort. I had been healed by my father that day, and i believe the power of prayer , and my faith in him is what made me walk out of their…PRAISE JESUS ,PRAISE THE LORD…

When Samuel was seeking who would be the king of Israel, He had all of Jesse’s sons pass before him and time after time, Samuel thought that surely one of these young men would be the next king.  Some were tall and muscular but that was not God’s standard.  Jesse didn’t call David who was what we might call the “runt of the litter” but God said that He looks not on the outward appearance but what is inside.  He doesn’t have regard for what a person’s looks are like but He looks at the heart because the most important attributes of a person are never what we see but the things we don’t see and what we cannot see, God can.  That’s all that really matters.
A few months ago I was questioning my love for God during a time of prayer Then the Holy Spirit told me that I do love God. He told me that the love of God shed abroad in my in is a love from God and a love for God. He told me to keep that love alive and active what I had to do was declare that love every day all during the day. Then He told me to go to Proverbs 18:19-20 showing that I can awaken that love by speaking life to it. He went on to tell me even if I don’t feel like I love God, just to declare it anyway and my love for Him will remain alive in me. I have read Romans chapter 5 countless times in my 30 years as a Christian, but I could not have the understanding of this verse outside of the teaching of the Holy Spirit Biblical Verses Image
Each and every church member is clearly a part of “… the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles (no longer in this church age), second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Now eagerly desire the greater gifts“(I Cor. 12:28-31). I pray you not only seek and discover your gifts but that you utilize them to the strengthening of the Body of Christ, for which you are a part. If you are not, then today is the time to become part of Christ’s church because members of this body will live on into eternity. Scripture Images
I agree with you. When all is said and done, The most important thing is people knowledge of who Jesus is and what He has done for mankind. I have experienced the reality of this salvation when I came into a knowledge of His salvation while planning to commit suicide. The Bible is more than just ink written on pages. I am not just waiting to just die and go to heaven. I have seen them reality of it. I know we are to live by faith no by sight. Jesus said “Joh 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” The only way we can experience eternal life in this way is by the teaching, and leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit who has been left for us to keep us walking into a greater knowledge of God and His Son Jesus. This is my hearts desire fo myself and every other Christiann. Bible Scripture Images

Thank you for your question my friend. Something just doesn’t sound right. This laying hands on your forehead and then speaking to you in tongues doesn’t sound biblical. Is it the Holy Spirit? I do not think it is because the Holy Spirit always points to glorify Jesus Christ and focus exclusively on Him and never man or his gifts. You are not questioning the Holy Spirit, so you are fine…what you are doing is seeking to find the truth and it obviously doesn’t feel right and I don’t think it is. I would talk to a pastor of another denomination. If you speak to the pastor of this church you had this experience in, then he will likely support this. Biblical Verses Image
I kept up the charade until one day we arrived at someone’s home for a prayer meeting. A place I’d never been. As we walked into the front door, we were met with loud praying by the large group that was in the front room — they were all chanting and uttering what seemed to be other languages or random syllables. The Holy Spirit in me resisted and wanted me out of there. It was as though a huge red flag was being waved and I asked my friend if we could leave. We walked right back out the door.
To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 Bible Verse Wall Art
In the time we tried to deal with the discovery of my husbands adulteries…he admitted he could not name any offense or area that I was guilty of . I know I am not perfect and as many women who love the Lord do when married they take any ‘cloud’ across their husband’s visage personally and seek to know what they might be guilty of to perhaps have caused this …or what they might do to improve,
I really appreciate the great work you’re doing for the glory of God. I hope you would not mind the following comment: There is a difference between the GIFTS of the Holy Spirit and the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit. The gifts (1 Corinthians 12) are intended to equip God’s people to do The work of Christ for the glory of God. The fruit (Galatians 5:22) of the Spirit is for the believer’s spiritual and personal growth.
Thank you my friend. this is not normal and you won’t find such a thing in the Bible and there is no gift of what your friend describes. Let me ask, has your friend ever repented and trusted in Christ? Are they in a Bible-believing church? Have they talked with their pastor, or do they even have one? What is their prayer life like? Does your friend spend much time in the Bible? If they are not saved, they may be under demonic influence. There is no gift like what you mentioned anywhere in the Bible, so I fear it could be an evil spirit inhabiting her. Biblical Verses Image

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Jesus says in John 6:63 that it is the Spirit that gives life and the flesh does not profit us. He also states His words are Spirit and they are life. The Lord has shown me through Romans 8:2 that we will either receive His word as the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, when taught by the Holy Spirit. Where we will receive the life and strength to walk in it, by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit. Or we will receive it as the law of sin and death where are trying to understand it with our own carnal understanding and try to walk in it by our own strength. This will put is the position that Paul saw himself as described in Romans chapter 7.
I became incredibly depressed (depression runs in my family so I can go through it from the time to time but this was something different) and even trying to get back into reading my Bible would make me feel physically sick. My boyfriend was trying to help me get back into the church life and I eventually had to call out to God to forgive me of my past and to help me get back to His path for me. Scripture Images
Roger, I don’t understand “I am a married man and six months before my wedding day, during a time of prayer, the Holy Spirit told me “whatever you want from your wife, you have to love it out of her, and no matter how she may act your only response is to be love.” If you can please show me where this is stated in the Bible?” and in particular, are you wanting to know where this is found in the Bible? It is no where that I know of. The Great Commission is central to the mission of Christians but yet a person’s first and most important earthly ministry is to his or her family. Central to the Christian’s life is that of the Great Commission to take the gospel to the whole world, even if it’s next door. Repentance, confession, sanctification, and trusting in Christ are the essentials to what we learn from the Bible and so, although I do not disagree with what you are saying, the main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing, and that is Christ died for sinners and to rescue them from hell fire. Agree?
"If you happen to come upon a bird's nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young; you shall certainly let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, in order that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.
From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all. Biblical Verses Image

For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery--so that you will not be wise in your own estimation--that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, "THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB." "THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS."read more.
One new one he shared was Acts 10:45, 46 in which Cornelius (a gentile) and his household received the Holy Spirit and burst out speaking in tongues. But why? This was a sign to Peter that the Holy Spirit was also for gentiles. He got the message. Now, we don’t need to continue getting that message, we get it, too. Jesus is for ALL. Every time someone is saved we are taught in God’s Word to recognize the fruits of the Spirit and we don’t need these miraculous signs to know that God is at work. And in my humble opinion, it is not a sound teaching of God’s to try and force people to speak in tongues to PROVE that they have received the Holy Spirit and make them feel less of a Christian if they don’t.
